heliskiing gives you is hard to beat. For anyone approaching advanced
intermediate level skiing or boarding, the adventure and challenge
of heliskiing is a must. With thousands of hectares of pristine
peaks to choose from heliski operators are adept at choosing the
terrain to suit your level of skill. Generally a 4-6 run day is
the entry point (these are long runs) but you can also add extra
runs as the day goes on. Get together a group of friends and charter
a guide and helicopter for a day or a week. |

you can experience a day learning the basics of backcountry ski-touring
or boarding. A private hut 2283 metres high in the Southern Alps
provides a cosy base for overnight adventures. Groups are small,
guides are expert, and the playground is diverse.
