Wanaka has more ski and snowboard shops than
banks or traffic cops. And they are staffed by practitioners!
These guys and girls aren’t making it up as they go along,
they are trying it out every chance they get. All the latest gear,
clothing and accessories with the best advice. Equipment hire
can range from standard ski and snowboard rental through to executive
ski/board hire - top of the range equipment that is new this season.
If you are heliskiing, a pair of “fat skis” takes
the hard work out of deep powder runs. All skifields also hire
gear, from skis and boards through to extra cold weather clothing.
